The W.O.W Project is running year 2 of our 3-week Arts, Craft, and Urban Studies high school fellowship this summer!
This is a FREE program for high school students entering 10th or 11th grade in the fall of 2026 who live or go to high school in Manhattan’s Chinatown. The program will meet from 10 AM to 3:30 PM, Tuesday through Friday, for 3 weeks in July (July 7-31, 2026) and end with a final public showcase. All participants who successfully complete the fellowship will receive a $500 stipend.
Where? Chinatown at the W.O.W. studio space; we’ll also take field trips throughout the city
When? Tuesdays through Fridays, July 7 – 31, 2026, from 10 AM to 3:30 PM, with a showcase on the evening of Friday, July 31.

What will we do during the fellowship?
During this program you will:
Build relationships with peers from your neighborhood
Experiment with storytelling and artmaking practices, through workshops with artists and organizers
Learn about New York City outside of a classroom setting through field trips and creating a field journal
Deepen your understanding of public space, and land justice in Chinatown and New York City
Create a collaborative project to showcase your learning at the end of the program
Am I eligible to apply? Yes, if:
You are entering 10th or 11th grade in the Fall of 2026. (you are currently in 9th or 10th grade!)
You live or go to high school in Chinatown.
You are excited about storytelling and art-making, thinking critically about your neighborhood and community, and learning collaboratively with other fellows!
You can participate in every day of the fellowship: Tuesdays through Fridays, July 7 – 31, 2026, including the evening of Friday, July 31.
